CHRIS SARJEANT

Keyboard Tutor at the Budding Musicians Club
Chris studied the piano at the Royal Northern College of Music, graduating in 2004. Although classically trained, he also enjoys performing jazz and popular music and has found this to be a great advantage in his teaching. Chris also performs on acoustic guitar playing traditional English folk music.

He works for Live Music Now, a charitable organisation that brings performers and disadvantaged audiences together. This work, which he considers extremely rewarding, takes him into prisons, PRUs and schools for those with learning difficulties. In his spare time, Chris is completing a second degree in Modern History and International Relations at the University of Westminster – just for fun!

FARON WOODBRIDGE

Band workshop tutor at the Budding Musicians Club
Faron is a musician and vocalist, who served his apprenticeship playing bass and singing in his father’s band ‘Shorty and the Giants’, in his home town of Edinburgh. While studying acting at the Welsh College of Music and Drama, he won a scholarship to study singing under Paul Farrington (Prof. Royal College of Music). He studied Music Workshop Skills at Goldsmiths University of London, where he is completing his MA in Cross Sectoral and Community Arts. He has composed scores for documentaries and short films and is currently working on a solo album. Faron is also Youth Arts Coordinator for Groundwork London and Southwark Council Play Service at the Hub Youth Project in Peckham.

 

T. DANIEL HOWARD

Drum tutor at the Budding Musicians Club
Daniel Howard began playing punk rock at the age of 16. A self- taught drummer, he was inspired by the avant garde / free jazz movement which led to African music and work with most of the West African and Congolese bands based in London. Recently, he’s involved himself in early rhythm and blues and rock’n’roll. Daniel finds teaching extremely rewarding and views it as an extension of his performance career. He believes music should be accessible to all and spends his spare time worshipping silence.

 

 

PABLO PARACCHINO

Pablo is an experienced drummer and percussionist, and has been teaching music from a young age. He is trained in community music making, and is involved in a variety of projects in Europe and the UK. Pablo enjoys spending time making music with friends. He is also an enthusiastic cook.

 

 

 

ALON RAMAGE

Keyboard tutor at the Budding Musicians Club
Alon started playing the keyboard when he was 11. A little while later he picked up the guitar and slowly taught himself how to play it. In his early twenties he went on to study a music degree in jazz and contemporary music. Over the last ten years he has been writing, recording and performing with different groups in various styles.

He has written a number of pieces for theatre and has also done some writing and recording for adverts, fashion shows, and short films. In 2004 Alon has completed a Music Teacher Training Course and has since been teaching keyboard and guitar in various settings from private lessons to schools and after-school clubs.

SUZAN BEYAZIT

Guitar tutor at the Budding Musicians Club
Suzan was born in Turkey and had her first music lessons in Istanbul. After having completed Classical Music Studies at Goldsmiths College, she studied Composition(Hons) at London College of Music. As a performer, she has performed with groups doing a variety of styles including jazz-rock, a classical guitar duo, and contemporary electric guitar quartet.

She has written music for concerts (from string quartet to large orchestras), theatres, exhibitions, installations, documentaries, films and dances. Her compositions have been performed in different countries such as Holland, Luxembourg, Germany and Greece. She has also worked as an artistic director, arranger, orchestrator and workshop leader for various projects. For the last three years she has been organising guitar festival in Hackney.

PHIL GREENWOOD

Phil is a founder member of The Midi Music Company and an experienced musician. Phil has worked nationally and internationally as a performer, writer, and workshop leader for over twenty years. Additional professional activities include video production and collaborative song writing. He plays chess, loves crosswords, classic and modern fiction, swimming, martial arts training and tightrope walking!

 

 

KOCOA BROWN

Singing tutor at The Budding Musicians Club and Cre8tiv® Voices tutor
Kocoa Brown is a singer-songwriter and vocal tutor who has more than 25 years experience of live performance.  Kocoa teaches vocals in schools and arts colleges, and is accustomed to nurturing talent and helping individuals to be more confident. Kocoa runs her own band The KB Fusionnaires, performing as a duo and as a full 12-piece band. Kocoa has performed across the UK including residencies at The Pigalle Club and Smollensky’s. She’s performed on TV, on West End Live, as well as numerous Festivals.

Her company, The Eclectic Arts Network, provides support to those in the creative industry, by sourcing venues for live performance and showcasing.

AHMAD DAYES

Cre8tiv® Music Production tutor/ CICAS® Producer
Ahmad Dayes is a musician, producer and professional sound engineer working for Sensible Music (studios) and freelance. He has worked with Amy Winehouse, Yussef Islam (Cat Stevens) and Roger Waters. He plays trombone for United Vibrations and 12Tone Brass Band.
