On Saturday 24th September, MMC had our wonderful event ‘Pop-Up Live in the Park’ at Margaret McMillan Park.
As part of Lewisham Borough of Culture 2022, we had our incredible CICAS®, CAPS and MMC-affiliated talent based in Lewisham bring the house down with their beautifully diverse and magnetic music.
We were able to power all the acts through the innovative and leading technology of Lionbeat’s BASSISbike – a decarbonised culture vehicle that brings Bass Culture back to the streets, outside of annual carnivals, explaining how they connect to sound systems, and what Lionbeat’s cultural strategy ‘GEARS’ is designed to achieve.
We had stellar performances from Evie Asio, Angelina Luzi, Renato Paris and Barbarella. We extend a very special thank you to them.
It was a truly brilliant afternoon that showcased the diverse, rich and impressive talent of our MMC alumni that reside in the Lewisham borough. We can’t wait to do more of these.
