This is an amazing opportunity to gain insight from one of the world’s most infamous artist/producers, Goldie (MBE).
We are excited to invite an audience of female creatives aged 16+ to this unique master class seminar with the musical alchemist; whether artists, singers, songwriters, composers, producers, engineers or DJs. This is your chance to hear about Goldie’s amazing journey in the music industry, as a graffiti artist, creative industries and education, over twenty-five years.
“In my music and art,” says Goldie, “is everything I’ve learned, everyone I’ve met, everything I’ve experienced.”
Among his many accolades came an invitation in 2011, to give a TED talk at London’s Kings Place and a year later, Goldie was selected as one of the BBC’s ‘New Elizabethans’, 60 people – ranging from David Hockney to Roald Dahl, David Bowie and Tim Berners-Lee – who have helped shape British culture during the reign of Elizabeth II. In January 2016, he was awarded the MBE in the Queen’s New Year Honours.
An Audience With Goldie is part of the Mayor of London’s ‘Sounds Like London’ series, taking place throughout June 2018 and will take place on Making Music Day UK in The Midi Music Company’s creative hub at the heart of Deptford, South-East London.
