Pronounced ‘seekers‘ CICAS® is our Creative Industries Careers Advice Service and is a huge part of what we do. It is our talent development programme providing free support, advice and guidance to young people aged 16-30 who are interested in developing careers within music, film, TV, visual and performing arts and the creative industries.
You can sit down with an experienced professional and talk over plans during a one-on-one session, enabling you to make the best use of our contacts, knowledge and directory. You can also use our multi-media, UK Music rehearsal and recording spaces for a nominal booking fee and discounted engineer’s rate.
CICAS® is a talent incubator and has seen some of the brightest talent emerge from its stable, such as virtuoso jazz drummer and Ivor Novello 2021 award nominee Yussef Dayes, 2x Jazz FM 2019 award winners Steam Down, or critically acclaimed MMC patrons and Kae Tempest and Shingai.
If you are aged 16 to 30, becoming a member grants you access into our community of young creatives. Join us to explore career pathways and funding for your creative projects in Music Explosion seminars or refine your performance skills in live music events.
