Rebekah Reid x Täpp Collective
A dynamic and experimental loop pedal music collective led by violinist Rebekah Reid, Täpp creates unique sounds through live looping and improvisation, creating original music without end – No limits, no boundaries.
Rebekah Reid is a vibrant and versatile violinist, composer, producer and loop pedal artist specialising in classical and jazz repertoire, improvisation and composition. Rebekah has taken her solo live loop pedal set across the UK, with performances at the Portico Library in Manchester supporting Matana Roberts and Kelly Jayne Jones, Manchester Art Gallery for Sofar Sounds, and the Royal Albert Hall – the Elgar Room in March 2019. She has featured in Jazzwise Magazine, Fame Magazine, appeared on NTS and Worldwide FM, and her solo compositions have had radio plays on BBC Radio 3 Late Junction and BBC Radio 4 for the show ’28(ish) Days Later’.
Over the past 2 years Täpp has evolved into a collective keen to push the boundaries of music and contemporary string writing. Combining jazz rhythm section with classical string techniques and electronics, the collective craft unique sound worlds to capture a listeners’ imagination. Featuring collaborations with musicians from London and Manchester, the collective released their debut album ‘I like what I do // I do what I like’ in June 2021, and performed their debut as a collective at the Royal Albert Hall – Elgar Room in November 2021. Täpp has featured in Jazzwise Magazine and Decoded Magazine, appeared on Worldwide FM and had spins on BBC 1Xtra (Jamz Supernova), BBC Radio 3 (Elizabeth Alker and Linton Stephens) and BBC 6 Music (Moses Boyd for Guy Garvey’s show). Täpp Collective aims to stimulate your curiosity, break through stereotypes, and awaken a new music movement.
Arinola is a Jamaican and Nigerian producer born and bred in North-West London. At 20 years old, she is an accomplished music and vocal producer, singer/songwriter and pianist.
Lesley’s Sunset is a collaboration between South-East London songwriters James Beau Barclay and Jim Bell, combining indie, alt-pop and soulful sounds.
