In this episode, our host Anwar Harris sits down with Maisie Goulsbra to discuss the inspiration and process behind Maisie’s upcoming EP release ‘When You’re Near’, overcoming her anxieties about performing, and her journey of becoming an artist.

Maisie is a South-London, Lincolnshire- raised artist and singer injecting a new sound into UK jazz and soul. With a voice that captures her studies of jazz and her family’s love of soul, her debut EP ‘When You’re Near’ swings between danceable jazz-fusion tracks and unapologetic love songs.

Recorded with a full live band, each track on the EP explores the differing types of love and un-love that Maisie experienced during the writing of this project. The lead single ‘The Way You Woo’ is out now! The second single ‘It’s About Love’ drops on the 6th of November, and her debut EP ‘When You’re Near’ releases on the 27th of November.
