Join us in February 2025 at our brand new Music Camps. Aimed at children 5-10 years of age, we have two wonderful opportunities for youngsters to get involved in music and connect with others in a peer to peer learning dynamic.
These half-term camps are funded by Tom’s Trust and have been created to allow under-privileged children and families to take part in an interactive music-making experience.
The Midi Music Company is an innovative music education and talent development charity, founded in 1995. We champion excellence through our educational programmes and are dedicated to nurturing the musical talent of vulnerable and disadvantaged young people aged 11-30, empowering them with the skills and confidence to seek careers in music and other creative industries.

DRUMS, PERCUSSION, VOCAL ENSEMBLE
(for children aged 5-7 and their parents/carers)
Tutors:
Barbara Pugliese – CICAS® Intern Alumni, Barbara is an outstanding performer, songwriter and singing teacher, who has toured internationally with her band Barbarella’s Bang Bang and frequently collaborates in interdiscciplinary projects with other creatives.
Daniel Smithson – drummer, percussionist, session musician and drum tutor from London. He has worked with a diverse range of artists and bands, playing musical styles including Gospel, Jazz and R&B. Daniel will be leading both our Music Camps for the Spring Term.
Outcomes:
- to enjoy learning to perform a repertoire of songs with rhythmic accompaniment
- to encourage peer to peer learning
- to empower families with confidence in their
musicality - to stimulate curiosity about practical
interactive music making - to invite new participants into our creative
community
Resources provided: Drum kit, djembes, congas, samba kit, claves, tambourines, maracas, cowbell, agogo bells.

INSTRUMENTAL BAND AND VOCAL SKILLS
(for children aged 8-10)
Tutors:
Daniel Smithson – drummer, percussionist, session musician and drum tutor from London. He has worked with a diverse range of artists and bands, playing musical styles including Gospel, Jazz and R&B. Daniel will be leading both our Music Camps for the Spring Term.
Etan Salomon – Etan is MMC’s Programme Coordinator, as well as an experienced music facilitator, creative development mentor and vocal coach, who has been teaching since her teenage years. She is passionate about equality, peace and social justice. Etan is also an Artist, Singer Songwriter, and Music Producer.
