Looking for a fun way to spend the summer holidays? Our Summer Music Camps offer young people (ages 5-10) the opportunity to develop their musical skills and sing, play drums and percussion together in a joyful group setting!
Our Summer Music Camps are taking place in August 2025.
These Summer Music Camps are funded by Sony Music UK‘s Social Justice Fund and have been created to allow under-privileged children and families to take part in an interactive music-making experience.
The Midi Music Company is an innovative music education and talent development charity, founded in 1995. We champion excellence through our educational programmes and are dedicated to nurturing the musical talent of vulnerable and disadvantaged young people aged 11-30, empowering them with the skills and confidence to seek careers in music and other creative industries.

DRUMS, PERCUSSION, VOCAL ENSEMBLE
(for children aged 5-7 and their parents/carers)
Tutors:
Angelina Luzi – a singing teacher, choir conductor and music workshops facilitator to disadvantaged groups, teaching at The Brit School, Italia Conti, Morley College, Forest Hill School and Soundmix at the Refugee Council in Croydon. Most recently Angelina has started working as a voice coach and public speaking trainer at Google , the NHS Lewisham and has joined the judging panel for European singing contest Tour Music Fest.

John Nardo Bailey –Drummer, Music Producer, Music Programme Creator, Tutor and Arts Director. He co-founded The Midi Music Company and was the co-founder of the charity arts project Making Dance Music Drama Arts and Sports better known as MDMD Arts and Sports. He has been working in music education for over 20 years. He has worked in primary and secondary schools, pupil referral units and various arts projects aimed at young people aged 5 to 25.
Outcomes:
- to enjoy learning to perform a repertoire of songs with rhythmic accompaniment
- to encourage peer to peer learning
- to empower families with confidence in their
musicality - to stimulate curiosity about practical
interactive music making - to invite new participants into our creative
community
Resources provided: Drum kit, djembes, congas, samba kit, claves, tambourines, maracas, cowbell, agogo bells.

INSTRUMENTAL BAND AND VOCAL SKILLS
(for children aged 8-10)

Barbara Pugliese – CICAS® Intern Alumni, Barbara is an outstanding performer, songwriter and singing teacher, who has toured internationally with her band Barbarella’s Bang Bang and frequently collaborates in interdiscciplinary projects with other creatives.
