PANELISTS:
Jo Hart – After 31 years in the business, there is nothing about the music industry that Jo Hart does not know. Following a successful four-year tenure as a Regional plugger and promoter for EMI, Jo went to help set up the highly successful Size Nine Promotions. Following this, she decided to fly solo and created Jo Hart PR in July 1997, 25 years ago.
Hart Media leads the way in Radio promotions and hosts a strong, dedicated team.
Jo was inducted into Music Week’s ‘Women In Music’. She has also championed a variety of successful artists such as Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, The Prodigy, Blondie, Jools Holland, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Usher, Alison Krauss, Enter Shikari, Gallows, Jamie Cullum, The Proclaimers, and more recently – Passenger, Feeder, Sophie Ellis Bextor and more.
Hart Media are passionate about all the artists/bands they works with and help, where possible with the planning of releases and gives much support is where possible.
Jasmine Rowland is a presenter, producer, DJ & journalist who has been navigating the creative industries for the past 5 years.
She currently DJs across the UK (London, Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool, Nottingham etc) and overseas as well as producing Radio and Podcast content for the BBC & SONY Music. She previously presented the New Music Show for Manchester’s Unity Radio and currently hosts on Brixton’s Reprezent Radio.
She is also a host for the London event branch of Sofar Sounds. As well as providing guest mixes for the likes of Rinse/ SWU FM, BBC Radio 1XTRA and BBC Introducing. A keen journalist, she has written for GRM Daily and TRENCH Mag. In 2021, she presented her first TEDx Talk.
A self – starter with no previous connects into the industry, Jasmine has navigated her way across the scene from the age of 19. Starting her journey writing & performing Spoken Word to entering the worlds of TV, Radio, Journalism and Music. Her talk surrounds putting yourself out there, selling yourself as a Freelancer and developing the confidence to master your craft!
